Principal
As the Principal of Pinecrest Academy Tavares, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and extend a warm welcome to you and your family. I am committed to carrying out the vision and mission of Pinecrest Academy Tavares, which is to empower lifelong learners with knowledge and values required for productive global leadership.
I began my educational career Twenty years ago as a first grade teacher in Orange County, Florida. I developed a passion and love for working with students and I knew that my calling was to serve my community as an educator.
Seeking to share my love of teaching, I became an educational consultant working with teachers and students all over the United States. I worked with publishers and district personnel to develop trainings for teachers in best practices and curriculum. With a desire to continue to grow professionally, I pursued a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and served as the Assistant Principal at Pinecrest Lakes Academy for three years.
I am thrilled and honored to have been given the opportunity to lead the students of Pinecrest Academy Tavares in Lake County. Pinecrest Academy, Inc. currently serves over 6,000 elementary, middle and high school students across 11 campuses in Miami Dade-County, Orlando, and Las Vegas. Its elementary and middle schools are ranked among the State’s highest achieving schools as measured by Florida’s Accountability System.
